Detralex belongs to the cardiovascular system category, specifically agents improving peripheral circulation. Scientifically, these are called microcirculation enhancers or angioprotectors. Detralex is part of the bioflavonoid group.
Detralex 1000 mg tablets are large, coated, oral tablets.
Each tablet contains 900 mg diosmin and 100 mg hesperidin. Additional components may include magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium glycolate, gelatin, and talc. The coating may contain sodium lauryl sulfate, titanium dioxide, iron oxides (yellow and red), glycerin, hypromellose, and magnesium stearate.
Diosmin and hesperidin help improve venous tone, reduce capillary irritation and swelling tendency, alleviating discomfort associated with venous insufficiency.
Detralex 1000 mg tablets are indicated for:
Functional and organic symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency in the lower limbs, including heaviness (especially in the morning), pain, and night cramps.
Symptomatic treatment of acute hemorrhoidal attacks.
Always consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
Chronic venous disorders: 1 coated tablet once daily (preferably in the morning with food).
Acute hemorrhoidal attack:
First 4 days: 3 tablets daily (1 in the morning, 1 at lunch, 1 in the evening)
Next 3 days: 2 tablets daily
Do not use if allergic to any of the active or excipient ingredients. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should only use under medical supervision.
Detralex 1000 mg tablets have a score line but should not be split without a doctor’s guidance.
Take with sufficient water, preferably with food, to reduce gastrointestinal discomfort.
Do not stop treatment without consulting your doctor. If no improvement is observed during a 7-day hemorrhoidal regimen, contact a physician.
